Brunel require an Ammonia Shift Supervisor for one of our clients located in the New Orleans area of Louisiana. Organisation Provides technical support to the operational teams during the commissioning and start-up of the Ammonia Plant. Job description - Monitors ammonia plant operations and provides advice to the operating team; - Maintains safe working conditions within the units and promotes personnel safety; - Visually checks the operation of the plant, at least once per shift; - Audits the operator's daily check-sheets, logs, and routines to ensure they are being completed properly; - Aids in the preparations of equipment for maintenance and operational changes such as switching pumps; - Will ensure that process control, environmental control, and quality control parameters are followed closely while proposing changes to resolve deviations; - Thoroughly knowledgeable in all areas of unit operations to assist in training operators; - Participate in daily safety meetings with crewmembers; - Participates in shift turnover with other Lead Operators on status and receive instructions; - Completes the production report and provides a written (Email) summary to the Superintendent and Operations Manager; - Reviews all Service Orders and verifies in the field that the equipment is prepared for Maintenance; - Audits Safety Work Permits and provides constructive feedback on how to improve them; - Ensure that operating procedures are being utilized, accurate and up to date.
