Job description The Offshore Planning & Controls Engineer will support the Planning and Project Controls process for the Offshore scope.  The scope of this role have a broad set of responsibilities as it will supplement and support the existing team in the areas of Planning (P6), Progress Measurement, Risk Management & Reporting deliverables.The role is part of the P&T (Projects and Technology) Project Controls team.  The position will need to work closely with the existing Project Directorate workstreams to ensure consistent delivery.  The successful Offshore Planning & Controls Engineer is responsible for delivering the following activities:Planning; - Operate the progress monitoring and analysis process for Offshore.  Continuous interaction with planners and project engineers (onshore and offshore) to gain latest data and insights into progress.; - Support the existing planning team and provide leave cover in key meetings (daily calls etc); - Ad hoc planning and analysis support throughout the offshore phase. Offshore Reporting; - Help produce monthly and weekly reports for the Offshore phase.Offshore risk management; - Offshore Risk Management.  This includes risk management for Subsea, DT8, OHUT, Offshore CSU, and SURU; - This includes meeting regularly with risk owners and organizing/chairing monthly team risk reviews.PD Risk Management; - Preparing Prelude wide risk reports and presentations.  Meeting with members of the Project Directorate to discuss risks and mitigations; - Support the Prelude-wide CSRA process (as required) to produce Company probabilistic forecasts of cost and schedule. Requirements - This role would be ideal for a high capacity individual wishing to gain exposure to mega-project delivery; - Degree qualified. Fluent in English, written and verbally. Candidate must have excellent communications skills; - Experience using P6 planning software is essential; - Experience in Offshore planning for construction and installation would be advantageous but not essential; - Excellent team player in an uncertain and changing environment; - Excellent analytical skills, able to organise & plan independently; - Effective communicator at all levels in organisation & with external parties; - Excellent critical thinking, and problem solving skills.  Offer With over 100 offices in 42 countries we are proud to offer this exciting career opportunity with an industry leader.
