Job description - Ensure that all equipment preservation requirements are up to date and equipment is under sail away preservation acceptable standards prior to sail away. Acceptable standards are those recommended by vendor for “Long Term” preservation; - Ensure that temporary power is supplied to space heaters; - Ensure contractor has all materials (spares) and equipment within its scope of work stored correctly and well preserved; - Ensure that preservation requirements are included in purchase orders (when ordering replacement parts) and are enforced prior to delivery as stated in supplier documents; - Ensure the preservation of all supplied material/equipment from the time of onboard until hook-up and commissioning phase is complete and, prior to equipment being turned over to company; - Maintain preservation routines recommended by suppliers and outline in companies approved preservation procedure; - Ensure that material safety data sheets (MSDS) for any products that the contractor uses or procures are available at site; - Ensure contractors procured preservation materials are approved for the hook-up and commissioning phase of the project; - Ensure contractor is utilizing the ICAPS database for issuance of preservation schedules and preservation check sheets; - Ensure ICAPS daily activities for preservation are completed and are carried out in accordance with vendor requirements and approved procedures; - Carry out monthly audits on ICAPS system to ensure correct TAG and preservation activities are being recorded correctly; - Participate in joint daily inspections with contractor to verify compliance with preservation procedures and ICAPS daily activity sheets; - Provision of preservation status reports, including preservation records, to the company Preservation Supervisor on a weekly basis; - Report daily (when required) for issues that need to be resolved. Requirements - Minimum 10 years relevant experience in onshore & offshore construction within the oil & gas industry including working in Korea and Australia; - Minimum 5 years' experience in working in hook-up and pre-commissioning phases of a project; - Experience with large production facilities, working offshore and with live facilities; - T/BOSIET; - Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Discipline Specific Trade Level Qualification; - Demonstrate a high level of awareness in safe working practices associated with the design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and installation and hook-up of offshore oil and gas facilities; - Excellent communication and written skills (English) and ability to work with different disciplines and cultures; - Sound knowledge of OPERCOM and ICAPS commissioning management system; - Extensive experience working under permit to work systems and adhering to permit to work conditions; - HSE focused on site; - Knowledge of vendor and company preservation specifications; - Previous supervision type role.
