Are you a highly skilled Structural Engineer with significant experience in the Oil & Gas Industry? Our client is an Engineering and Construction who are looking for a Structural Engineer. Please note this position is not currently open to international candidates. 12-month contract role based in Singapore. Job description - Creates drawings, specifications, etc. of existing technology or applications and ensures that assignments meet standards and performance requirements within area of expertise;   - Uses the CAD/CAM and database systems and facilities to make layouts, analyze designs, evaluate equipment systems and generate new equipment designs;    - Prepares documentation, information, communications and engineering specifications and ensures conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions, labor reporting and systems reporting;   - Conducts analysis, ensures that designs are workable, makes recommendations and develops alternative solutions with conclusions reviewed by higher levels;   - Consults with other departments on equipment designs, problems and questions; - Tests and evaluates prototypes and models to determine design limits and needed improvements. Prepares test reports and closure reports on assignments;   - Prepares reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations; - Prepares technical data and papers for sales personnel, customers and publications using good internal presentation and report writing skills; - Travels occasionally to field sites to assist with product related problems or to obtain application data;   - Assists in project cost estimates. Assists and/or checks the work of drafters and designers and less experienced engineers; - Helps prepare project plans, schedules, budgets and status reports. Requirements - BS Degree in Engineering. - Minimum 5 years experience applying working principles within assigned technical field or MS degree plus two years. - Working knowledge of specific technologies, procedures, products and applications. - Working knowledge or related product line – exposure to other lines. - Demonstrated ability to create functional & cost effective designs that meet specification requirements with supervision.    - Demonstrates some capability for conceptualizing designs. - Some understanding of internal economic factors affecting projects to which assigned. - Must be proficient in use of CAD and Database systems related to Engineering functions. - Demonstrates knowledge of policies & procedures that affect specific job assignments. - Shows evidence of good organization skills. - Demonstrates good internal presentation & report writing skills. - Knowledge of trends & economic conditions affecting the technical field.
