SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (ROTATING EQUIPMENT)
o Ensure safety and timely completion of projects.
o Ensure Client rules, specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of the project.
o Ensure no damage to any Client or other operators' assets and environment in the course of executing the project.
o Sets own priorities to support successful delivery of department goals as directed by the Mechanical Lead.
o Technically manage and coordinate the Mechanical Engineering activities related to the Project.
o Lead mechanical studies from FEED to Detailed & Installation Engineering (Project budget over 150MUSD).
o Liaises with Client E&C disciplines, Technical Authorities, Field Operations & Procurement department and externally with engineering contractor and equipment suppliers.
o Evaluates Production Facilities drawings & design with respect to mechanical design (for rotating equipment's'), installation, layout and drawings, HAZOP studies & materials take-off.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
o Operations in a major and large offshore oil field with many interfaces with other operators of the Field.
o Doha (Qatar) office with possible mission to project premises (onshore/offshore/in the country/outside the country). Standard office hours, 5 days a week.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. in Mech. Engineering. Chartered engineer status preferred.
Minimum 12 years relevant oil & gas experience covering the full portfolio of mechanical rotating equipment both in Brown and Green field project environment. Strong interpersonal & communication skills. Fluent in English both verbal and written.
