Project Engineer - Platform Brownfield & Interfaces

  • Carry out work in compliance with Company values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed Company priorities and objectives, Company standards and procedures and good industry practices,
  • Act as a representative from SURF Package for the Project,
  • Review and coordinate, in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements, the various documents issued by Contractors.
  • Participate in the FEED contractor selection process: development of Request For Quotation (RFQ) package documents, clarifications and award,
  • Prepare & follow-up the scope of shut-down early tie-ins on existing platforms (design, procurement, construction, mobilization, installation) and ensure that it is executed safely, as per planning and as per Project specifications,
  • Responsible for Call For Tender (CFT) process for EPSCC contract for platform topsides modifications: development of CFT package documents, clarifications and award,
  • Follow-up the EPSCC scope (detail engineering, procurement, fabrication, etc) for platform topside modifications and ensure that it is executed safely, as per planning and as per Project specifications,
  • Prepare and organize the onshore and offshore scope of platform topside modifications and ensure that co-activities and offshore mobilization are addressed and well prepared,
  • Act as the interface engineer of SURF Package, coordinate interface between the various packages (including FSO Package) and with other entities of CLIENT, ensure that answers to queries from Contractors are done on a timely basis.
  • Organize/assist offshore mobilization of Company and Contractors' personnel for SURF Package (for survey, construction, etc),
  • Ensure that relevant feedback from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance,
  • Identify and report any potential deviations from the Company referential,
  • Identify any anticipated deviations to the initial plan and propose mitigation actions to management,
  • Provide assistance for answers to technical queries, to deviations/concession requests, and to change order requests,
  • Provide assistance for answers to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZOP, etc.),
  • Participate in the project technical review sessions with Company, Contractors and vendors teams, 
  • Manage assistance from shareholder specialists (remote head office) when required,
  • Ensure progress and risk reporting to project management,
  • Develop any procedures and execution plans within area of responsibility,
  • Anticipate and assess Change Order Request issued by the Contractor,
  • Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters,
  • Carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors in line with discipline expertise.


  • Mobilization expected during FEED RFQ process,
  • Position located in CLIENT offices in Doha until EPSCC award,
  • At EPSCC award, position planned to be located in EPSCC contractor offices where detailed engineering will take place (to be confirmed, location unknown),
  • Possibility of multiple worldwide missions with possibility of various contractors execution centers or vendors visits,
  • The scope of activities will concern mainly brownfield activities (tie-ins and modifications to existing platform topsides), with interfaces with the rest of the Project (subsea and FSO) and with CLIENT.


  • Qualification: Master's degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical engineering
  • Senior engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 10 years' experience on offshore oil & gas projects in brownfield projects,
  • Rigor and organization skills to be able to manage interfaces,
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards,
  • Familiar with Total E&P General Specifications would be a plus,
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings required,
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing),
  • Computer literate, knowledge of PRODOM would be a plus,
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills.
