Reporting to the Customs and Logistics manager, the Logistics Coordinator's main responsibility will be the coordinating, tracking and reporting on all shipments for the E&P business unit. The role will support the Contracts & Procurement department.

Responsibilities will be:

o Liaise with suppliers on delivery/ collection of purchase orders

o Chase suppliers on overdue orders and report the updated status to end users

o Evaluate and recommend corrective actions to ensure that shipments will arrive on site in accordance with schedule requirements

o Issue shipping instructions to the freight forwarder in accordance with the end user approved mode of shipping

o Proof read, amend and approve shipping documents to ensure compliance with Company shipping guideline as well as international shipping requirements

o Coordinate with the freight forwarder to ensure timely delivery of all shipments

o Plan and coordinate consolidated shipments to maximize cost savings

o Coordinate with Company logistics personnel within Chad and Cameroon to ensure priority shipments receive the required focus and attention

o Track the collection, booking, shipping, arrival and delivery of all shipments

o Report on the up to date delivery status of all purchase orders on a continuous basis

o Ensure that the delivery of shipments are receipted correctly in the EAM software system

o Creation of work orders within the EAMsoftware system

o Assist with house-keeping of the EAM system

o Support Buyers with the closing out of purchase order OSD's (overage, shortage, damage) with vendors

o Ensure compliance with all of COMPANY policies, practices and standards

o Other duties as required for inter-departmental support and facilitation of activities

 

Required Skills:

o Self-starter with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently

o Pro-active work style and attention to detail

o Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred

o Experience of International Shipping Requirements

o Good understanding of lncoterms

o Experience in dealing with Customs Documentation

o Experience in expediting of large volumes of shipments

o Experience in shipping of goods to Africa is preferred

o Experience in dealing with freight forwarders

o Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills.

o Strong ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately

o Fluent in the English language (both written and oral)

o Ability to speak French is an added advantage

o Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)

o Experience in procure to pay software packages

o A minimum of 5 years Supply Chain Management or Transportation and Logistics experience

o A business or Supply Chain Management degree or equivalent from a recognized institution an advantage
