Saudi Aramco, a fully integrated, global petroleum enterprise, is seeking experienced professionals to join our growing Chemicals Business Organization.
We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Polyols/Polyurethane Business Specialist. Consider the opportunity to join our team and help shape the future of the chemicals industry.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a closely related field; an MBA is highly desired.
You will have 15-years of experience in in the petrochemical industry with a substantive number of years in polyols/polyurethanes manufacturing, technical sales support and or Polyols market management.
Experience with product application and market development for rigid and flexible foams is highly valued and implementing robust market strategy and effective commercial negotiations.
You will have awareness of competitive market capabilities of major Polyols processes and strong knowledge of polyol applications, markets, and economics (coating, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, and rigid/flexible foams).
You will have good communication skills and be comfortable working independently and effectively with cross-department teams and through vertical organizational levels.
The successful candidate will be the Company’s primary commercial advisor in the Polyols/Polyurethanes business. Ideally you will have previous leadership experience in Polyols commercial and strategy management.
You will demonstrate excellent presentation, interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to interface effectively with internal engineering, R&D, and technical service groups.
International experience is required with Middle East experience particularly preferred. Part of your role will include business travel both domestically and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Leverage strong technical and business acumen with meaningful experience in the Polyols/Polyurethane industry.
Drive polyurethane business strategy and leverage Saudi Aramco’s position including feedstock, commercial capabilities, and global reach.
Apply awareness of trends driving market segments and applications across the PU value chain; including foam and CASE segments and develop polyurethane strategy and actionable plans through provision of timely market intelligence, supply demand analysis, market segmentation, value drivers, and economic analysis.
Ability to assess the competitiveness of polyols products and support technology development and market penetration and growth strategies with technical solutions and conduct detailed analysis of current technologies, products, cash cost analysis, spreads, prices and margins.
Serve as a mentor to support the development of promising young engineers.
About us: Saudi Aramco’s Refining, Marketing & International (RM&I) business line is responsible for the Company’s downstream operations: refining, distribution and marketing. RM&I oversees the operations of the Company’s wholly owned refineries and NGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plants. The business line is also responsible for the Company’s large integrated distribution system that encompasses pipelines, bulk plants and marine terminals. Saudi Aramco’s wholly-owned shipping subsidiary, Vela International Marine Limited, operates one of the world’s largest fleets of supertankers. RM&I coordinates the Company’s crude oil and refined products sales and marketing activities, in the Kingdom and in the Far East, Europe and the United States. RM&I also directs the Company’s domestic and international joint and equity ventures in refining and marketing. Recently, the Company has moved further downstream by integrating petrochemical production with its Rabigh refinery in a project with an international partner and by entering into a similar venture in China. Additional integrated refining and petrochemical ventures are under study.
