We are looking for our next Director Projects

As we wish to strengthen our project management capacity we are looking for a new colleague who can join us to maintain and develop our project management processes and tools to ensure we are capable to deliver complex projects with excellent results to our customers

Your area of responsibility will be to establish and maintain strategies, philosophies, plans and tools for project execution, acting as a Professional Lead within TOP for this subject. The role is also accountable for ensuring compliance with established project management processes and responsible to ensure that projects undertake proper planning, organization, resourcing for the execution phase in compliance with regulations, standards and customers’ requirements

We are looking for a candidate that is result oriented. An experienced proactive leader, self-driven and motivated by managing the framework for the position, mentoring resources within the profession, coping with challenges and keeping up with learning and development. Some of the things you will be doing
  • Ensure that all activities in your area of responsibility are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the TOP Management System as well as health and safety of personnel
  • Lead and manage the project group being accountable for the deliverables form the group to Vice President Technical and Project
  • Responsible to ensure that TOP has established the required policies, standards, specification, processes and Tools to execute complex FPSO Projects
  • Ensure templates for a typical project management for FPSO Projects (new builds, conversions, redeployment) are established and maintained
  • Support Commercial and Business Development (C&BD) with project execution competence for tender, bid and FEED work
  • Develop and ensure acceptance and approval of the Project Agreement by assigned project manager on behalf of the Vice President Technical and Project.
  • Establish the Project Management Teams in close cooperation with the TOP HR department and de assigned project manager
  • Establish, in cooperation with the assigned project manager and TOP HR, site facilities including offices, IT-solutions as required and ensure that housing, transportation, insurances and other facilities and services are in place for the execution of the Project
  • Provide services as required during project execution with respect to IT systems (PMP, Document Control, MC/Commissioning, etc.), frame agreements for 3rd party services, project control support, etc.
  • Participate in establishing, implementing renegotiating or cancelling frame agreements, service agreements required for projects in close cooperation with TOP Supply Chain Department
  • Monitor progress and forecast outcomes to enable proactive management of projects in executiont
  • Ensure, in cooperation with VP Technical and Projects as with TOP HSEQ department, performance of audits, project peer reviews and other assurance activities to ensure compliance with TOP Management System
  • Ensure a successful transition of a completed project from Technical and Project Department to Operation by fulfilling Decision Gate Handover
  • Facilitate and ensure close-out activities including “lessons learned reporting” upon competition of projects as well as undertake port investment reviews
  • Manage and ensure alignment of interfaces between individual projects and other groups in TOP, TOO and Teekay
  • Establish systems and methods for knowledge management boosting best practices across projects within Our entities and divisions
  • Provide project management competence of services for other departments within TOP or TOO as needed
  • Act as a Proffesional Lead and arrange for the profession network ensure lessons learned-, mentor -, orientation session are performed and support personnel with your knowledge and expertise
What we are looking for
  • You hold a higher degree within technical education and have minimum 10+ years of relevant project experience within oil and gas/ or shipping
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Organized, systematic approach, self-starter / proactive, able to multi-task and still meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English demanded.
  • You must be flexible on travels both onshore and offshore
