Job Title: Project Services Manager

Location: Aberdeen, UK

The Projects Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the Project Services activities on the BLP, the clients’ elements of the Project. The position provides support to the project delivery processes within the Project through the implementation of robust quality surveillance management principles and techniques. The incumbent must have the ability to work with minimal supervision on scopes covering both Topsides and Subsea.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

* Develop the Project Delivery Management System (PDMS) on the project, implementing new and maintaining existing procedures / work instructions.

* Responsible for the processes relating to controlling project documentation: Project and Document Numbering, Contractor Requirements, Internal Document Control and Assai Requirements

* Responsible for the processes relating to controlling project cost: Cost Control, Requirements for Contractors and Basis of Estimate

* Responsible for the processes relating to project cost estimating development and assurance: BLP Estimate Development and Assurance. Ensuring that PEER reviews, external checks and benchmarking activities are undertaken

* Responsible for the processes relating to controlling project schedule: Project Planning / Schedule Development, Requirements for Contractors and Planning Work Instruction. Ensure that the requirements for interface with the Asset Planning team are understood and met with regards to the 28 Day, 90-Day and MTAP processes

* Ensure that relationships with key project stakeholders are developed and maintained

* Responsible for the resource planning process. Producing the project organogram, project resource forecasts for headcount and seating purposes

* Interface between the project and Building Management at rented office location and action where necessary

* Responsible for producing project input in to the CBA report, the project VP and the UKLT reports on a weekly basis

* Responsible for producing the project monthly reports


* Candidates should ideally be degree or chartered status in a relevant discipline but in any case possess the relevant experience and competency to successfully carry out this role

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment

* Proven track-record of independent thought and the desire to continuously expand horizons

* Skilled at working in a highly collaborative manner

* Relocation will be provided for the successful candidates if required
