Actively seeking a Senior Explorationist/Team Leader currently based in/around Vienna Austria.
Main job description
- Carry out technical assessments, including play fairway analysis, block, prospect and well location assessments.
- Identify, characterise and pursue exploration-led NV opportunities in the NAO Region and make recommendations to management regarding new venture opportunities.
- Prospect generation and maturation to identify possible drilling location.
- Play fairway analysis and CRS mapping.
- Understanding of size, scope and cost of a potential opportunity set for a working cost and quality control.
- Regional screening of new basins and plays to identify new opportunities.
- Benchmarking of new opportunities against existing countries, assets and plays to ensure the selection of best possibilities company-wide.
- Support technical activities in regional Branch Offices to ensure high internal standards.
- Identify initiatives to improve exploration effectiveness in the region.
- Initiate and undertake studies when necessary for decision making input (for example reservoir, structural modelling, etc.)
