Job Description

We are actively seeking a SENIOR HSE SPECIALIST with 5-10 years experience for IMMEDIATE start with a major global operator.

Key Dimensions
* Work closely with the Petroleum Regulatory team to ensure delivery of excellent performance within required timeframes
* Assist with monitoring compliance with existing regulatory requirements, and identifying new and emerging requirements
* Develop and maintain management tools, processes and procedures to support regulatory function in Petroleum
* Provide technical competence regarding computer software tools to facilitate effective communication and awareness materials are developed as required

Core Accountabilities
* Provide general administrative and technical assistant support to the Regulatory function in Petroleum HSE
* Develop on-the-job awareness of the relevant legislation, regulations, standards, company procedures, health and safety aspects, and industry best practices
* Assemble and file detailed, technical documents to specification as regulatory submittals
* Develop and maintain schedule of compliance actions and insure information is obtained to meet filing requirements within deadlines
* Compile weekly and monthly reports and monitor completion of pending items; assist with action tracking efforts as appropriate
* Assist in the preparation of briefing documents and presentations to management and agencies
* Work independently to research, gather and summarize supporting documentation on various topics as required
* Assist with organizing and coordinating technical meetings, workshops, and awareness sessions, including agency meetings

Qualifications (combination of)
* HSE experience, especially in oil & gas industry, is a plus
* Experience & Technical Competencies (combination of)
* Excellent written and verbal English communications skills •Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office); working knowledge of Access is a plus
* Ability to learn company specific applications
* Excellent reasoning, analytical, technical and research skills
* Able to communicate both orally and in writing with good interpersonal skills
* Highly organized
* Ability to prioritize issues and focus on multiple projects simultaneously
* Commitment to produce accurate, high-quality work
* Any experience supporting oil and gas operations through the use of electronic data management systems/software preferred
* Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and to work under pressure to manage time, prioritize projects and meet deadlines
