Job Title: HUC Commissioning Superintendent
Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company playing a key role in supplying energy to our region. They are one of the world’s leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region. The organisation is one of the world’s preeminent producers of LNG; they also maintain a portfolio of non-LNG projects.
They currently have a critical requirement for an HUC Commissioning Superintendent to be part of the next phase of a world renowned WA project. This is an offshore role, FI/FO Karratha on a 2/2 rotation.
Reporting to the HUC Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and scope of work. You will drive and offer technical assistance to a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technicians, and supervise the offshore commissioning scope through to hand-over to operations, preparing all documentation of all systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing the offshore commissioning and completions strategies, plans and documentation
Identifying and developing handover processes and procedures in conjunction with the Project start up and productions functions
Preparation of all commissioning work packs, job card, drawings, procedures, specifications, CTP’s FTR’s and documentation to prepare for and plan the offshore scope
Preparation of scope descriptions, man-hour and duration estimates to support the development of plan
Identifying all commissioning materials, tools and equipment including all commissioning spares required to carry out the offshore scope and interface with the onshore construction team to optimise materials and tools between the onshore and offshore teams
Identifying all vendors required for the commissioning and organise the vendor plan
Preparing the offshore schedule of the commissioning activities and then working closely with the planners in the development of the integrated level 4 offshore plans to provide a realistic and logical plan with well defined critical paths and a plan that is interfaced and integrated with the HU schedule and start up plans
Develop, monitor and progress KPI’s (performance indicators) to demonstrate the performance against the plans and targets
The successful candidate is a Commissioning Engineering Professional with a minimum of 15 years experience in Offshore Oil and Gas Commissioning projects with a proven track record of planning, preparing and executing offshore commissioning offshore scopes and/or shut downs.
A team player with good interpersonal skills you are a confident decision maker.
This position requires a motivated individual with good communication skills and a "can do" attitude.
