Packers Plus is the pioneer of open hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing and we provide technology-based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world. We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join us in our Houston, Texas facility.

Primary Role Focus

Responsible for technical support, uninterrupted services, emergency technical support and effective utilization of technical services resources. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the field services units
  • Analyze and implement continuous improvement of services including developing training programs, certification expectations and schedules
  • Establish the corporate standards for field operations applications and skill levels
  • Responsible to meet group department productivity and quality goals
  • Set the pace for reaction to field problems
  • Meet with the industry community and/or users, buyers, consultants and field technicians to provide support and deal with concerns regarding the deployment of services
  • Provide technical support for currently utilized tools, applications and trouble shooting
  • Provide technical services support 24/7 to the field service group
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details
  • Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices
  • Monitor the NCR process to ensure compliance at the field level

Educational Requirements

  •  Degree in Engineering, Engineering Tech, Technical certificate or higher

Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Experience with downhole tools, design and applications
  • Experience in R&D processes
  • SolidWorks experience a plus
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
