Drilling Engineer for new technology project, GoM deepwater. DGD (dual gradient drilling) is a specialty for AGR (a service and technology provider) working for a major operator. We have an immediate opening for a motivated-to-learn and keen-to-contribute degreed engineer (petroleum or mechanical) who can contribute to this new technology. The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience, knowledge of pre-operational project involvement, procedure writing, planning, and have excellent technical understanding of the drilling process, subsea equipment, and drilling components on a modern offshore rig (this project will use a 6th generation drillship). Likely to have worked offshore for short periods, be an excellent report writer and communicator.  The position brings the required drilling knowledge to a small project team who has been involved in project management, and is now looking at testing, installing and commissioning equipment for DGD (dual gradient drilling) during 2012. You will have a keen focus on HSSE (health, safety, security and environmental).
