Another way of doing this, is by sharing our knowledge and experience. We developed several educational programs and trainings. With experience in almost every field of the wind industry, the clients team members are professionals in wind with a proven track record.

The High Voltage Electrical Consultant key tasks are basic designs for complete wind park grids and substations, concept design, basic design reviews and evaluation , quality control of manufacture and construction, safe commissioning and operations of offshore substations and electrical infrastructure.

Tasks and responsibilities:

In design phases

Participate in design teams of our client or the client's contractor;

Basic design of HV/MV grids (155/33/6 kV) by making grid calculations, power analysis, short circuit calculations etc.;

Selectively study on local HV/MV grids including the complete automated controls by remote of the wind park and substations.

In construction phases

Verification of detailed designs, matching the basic designs of electrical grids and control designs;

Quality control during the design and manufacturing phase by subcontractors;

Setting up commissioning plans and align them with the substations supplier;

Witness (or coordination of) the functional tests of all the equipment of substations;

Signing off of take over certificates on behalf of our clients;

Participate in risk assessments and evaluations.

In operations phases

Monitor grid code compliance; writing switching plans and capable to become assigned as Installation Responsible for switching in the substations in accordance with European and local regulations;

Analyse performance of all substations and cable work, controls related downtime, failures and problems;

Operational contract management of (maintenance) contractors;

Prepare and/or review detailed plans in case of complicated repairs;

Develop and evaluate change requests to improve electrical equipment;

Monitor compliance to the preventive maintenance program and evaluate effectiveness;

Audit quality of the work performed and of material management of contractors;

Approve permits to work (PTW), Member of Emergency Response Team;


Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering specialized in High Voltage grid design (VD2)

Good IT skills, on SCADA systems and safety controlled relays;

Willingness to work at projects in two different places inGermanyand to travel to other locations or clients;

5 - 10 years relevant experience;

Language: German and English (verbal and written);

Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines;

Team player, independent, flexible, tactful, excellent attention for important details;

No 9 to 5 mentality, stand by duty can be applicable;

Strong communication skills, commercial and technical ;

Responding to opportunities in the market and enlarge the client/contract portfolio of the client
